Paper Weight Lesson
 Our glass blowing experience / Lessons are taught by one of our experienced artist.  Along with making a beautiful blown glass object,  we offer you the opportunity to have as much hands on experience as you are comfortable with.  You will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of blown glass objects to make, and colors to choose from.  With instructor assistance you can gather glass out of the furnace,  apply the colors of your choice, reheat at the "glory hole" and sit at the glassblowers bench to inflate and shape your piece, and much much more. Minimum amount of lesson time is half an hour, maximum  amount of lesson time is two and a half hours.  Rates for a Glass Blowing experience are $185/hr. Group lessons are available but must be discussed with the instructor prior to lesson.  Students younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We also offer Paperweight making lessons. During this half an hour class you will work with your instructor to successfully make a solid glass paperweight. You choose from our selection of colors, design possibilities and basic shapes.  Paperweights are an excellent introduction to working with hot glass.

Scheduling

Calling or Emailing to schedule a lesson at least three days in advance is recommended.

Note: all pieces mad must cool down slowly overnight and can be picked up the following day, or can be shipped via UPS. Shipping starts at $30 for most places in the U.S.  

*You are required to bring/wear sunglasses (non-mirrored preferred). Comfortable closed toe shoes, NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS

*We recommend wearing natural fiber cloths such as cotton. (ie: T-shirt and jeans)

*Remember, Santa Fe is very arid and it can be very HOT in the glassblowing studio, so drink plenty of water the day of your lesson. STAY HYDRATED!
