In "Ancient Ones", my most recent series of blown glass graal vessels, I evoke the communicative power of petroglyphs carved on sandstone cliffs. For me, the process of carving, spirals, meanders, and animal images in glass encodes the narrative of increasing knowledge of the Anasazi, and stimulates direct cognition of a spiritual and physical map left by the first people to inhabit the American southwest.
