Tesuque Glass Works

Charlie Miner started blowing glass out of an old chicken coop next to the house he bought from a land trust in Tesuque NM, in 1975.

Shidoni developed soon after as Tesuque was becoming an artist community.

Tesuque Glass Works grew into a studio gallery, by 1990 Charlie started an apprenticeship program, where the apprentices could learn and sell their wears through the gallery. There are more apprentices and artists that work out of TGW today, making the studio a busy place where eight people including Charlie make their work. The Gallery has a wide range of glass to view.

Twelve years ago Charlie Miner began investigating the casting process. Again the studio grew, this time into a blowing and casting studio. Today one can find Charlie’s cast pieces at SOFA, the corning Museum, Heller and Holsten Galleries, and in the gallery at Tesuque Glass Works.
